NOTICE TO CLUBS: If your club needs a conference call solution we can offer the CurlON Uberconference product for your use at no charge to hold Board meetings or other important club meetings. To book a meeting contact Steve ([email protected]) and we will make the booking and send you the link to share with your participants. (Please note during these trying times daytime calls are more difficult as the volume of calls sometimes restricts participants and requires several attempts to access the system.)

‘NEW’ — ONTARIO TRILLIUM FOUNDATION — RESILIENT COMMUNITIES FUND: New funding opportunity announced August 5th. Not for profit corporations are eligible to apply for funding from $ 5,000 – $ 150,000 for one year. Applicaiton process is open September 2 to December 2, 2020.
WAGES SUBSIDY: Temporary wage subsidy for three months, 75% of remuneration, Max $1,375/employee and $ 25,000 per employer. Business will be able to benefit from this by reducing their remittance of income tax withheld on their employee remuneration.

CANADIAN EMERGENCY BUSINESS ACCOUNT (CEBA): $ 40,000 Interest free loan to businesses for capital purposes. 25% forgiveness if loan paid by December 2022.
FLEXIBILITY IN FILING TAXES: Defer until after August 31st any Income Taxes due.
BANK PAYMENT DEFERRALS: All major banks are reviewing on a case by case scenario the option for businesses to defer payments for business loans, increase operating lines of credit, waiving credit card minimum payments. Contact your branch to discuss your options directly.
MEMBER CLUB ASSISTANCE PLAN: CurlON has a fund available for every Member Club use. This fund allows for clubs to receive upto a maximum of $ 30,000 to be repaid over a 5-year period at prime less 1% (2.95%-1% = 1.95%). Flexible terms and simple application process.
FORM LETTER FOR CLUBS (in case of positive Covid-19 tests associatied to curling facility activity). Letter has been vetted by sports lawyer for use by clubs if required.

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ONTARIANS (Government plans for stimulus): Includes temporary income support, longer term support for income support for workers, support for individuals who need it the most (GST & CCB), flexibility for taxpayers, mortgage support and aid for bank loans.
Canada Emergency Fund Benefit: Taxable benefit for employees who have stopped working due to Covid-19. Monthly benefit of up to $ 2,000.
