It was a stellar weekend of curling across the province with several CurlON events crowning brand new champions.
The Bayview Golf & Country Club played host to the 2019 U18 Mixed Championships April 5-7th with the Rideau Curling Club’s Team McNamara taking home the championship title. The team comprised of Jordan McNamara, Alyssa Blad, Maxime Daigle, and Laura Smith boasted an impressive 6-1 record on their way to winning the championship banner over Team Rooney and outscored their opposition 11-4 in the playoffs.

In other action, one of CurlON’s more fun and casual events also took place this past weekend as well. The Women’s/Silver Tankards are non-traditional banner events with teams of 8 competing vs other teams of 8 divided over two sheets. Scoring is determined by cumulative total of both sheets where the team with the most points total is declared the winner.
The Guelph Curling Club’s Team Gebhardt/Brown were crowned the 2019 Women’s Tankard Champions, while the 2019 Silver Tankard was won by the KW Granite’s Team Willsey/Moffatt.
Congratulations to all competitors!
