On February 11 and 12th the future stars of Ontario curling took to the ice to gain valuable knowledge and competitive experience at the U-15 Challenges.
The U-15 Challenge is a developmental event designed to expose young curlers from the ages of twelve 12 to 14 to competition. Along with giving experience to curlers, the Challenge also was an opportunity for coaches to develop skills through on-ice training with mentor coaches.
57 teams at four host sites (Land O Lakes Curling Club, Brampton Curling Club, York Curling Club and Vanastra Curling Club) competed over the weekend. The event was enjoyed by parents, coaches and players alike and gave valuable experience to all involved.
