The Business of Curling initiative is the the OCA’s strategy to help guide and support Member Clubs in the successful operations of a curling facility.
Using the Business of Curling template, the OCA will identify areas to HELP GUIDE the Club’s Board and Management. After an initial consultation, the team will meet with the Board or Management and work out the final requirements. The expected outcome is the creation of a professional business plan and other documents inclusive of a detailed implementation plan.
Areas of review in collaboration with the Member Club include:
- Strategic Plan
- Policies & Procedures
The implementation plan, one approved by the Member Club Board, will be acted upon by the Member Club with the cooperation of the OCA team to monitor success and adjustments. Review meetings will be scheduled and a checklist monitoring process implemented.
A goal of the OCA’s Business of Curling Program is to provide easy access to all OCA Member Clubs on best industry practices for club operations through a series of workshops, webinars and whitepapers. Please see more on all scheduled events here>>
