The Government of Canada is now accepting applications from eligible organizations interested in receiving contribution funding from the Enabling Accessibility Fund for mid-sized projects.
The funding will support the construction, renovation and retrofit of accessible facilities or venues in Canadian communities that offer or plan to offer programs and/or services that focus on a holistic approaching in addressing the social and/or labour market integration needs of people with disabilities.
This is the first of a two-step application process. For this first step, the Government of Canada is seeking an overview of your proposed project. As this is a competitive process, not all Applications for Funding will be retained. If your Application for Funding is retained, you will be invited to submit a full proposal. At that time, you will be asked to provide additional information about your proposed project.
Funded projects are expected to begin in early 2019. Eligible organizations may submit a maximum of one (1) application for funding in this process.
What are you required to do by law? Check out the Ontario Accessibility Act for details.
