The Ontario Curling Association concluded their annual general meeting on June 24th, 2017 in Toronto, ON.
On the agenda was a full operational synopsis from Executive Director Stephen Chenier regarding the growth and future considerations of CurlON, a club governance workshop for voting members facilitated by then Vice-Chair Doug Kreviazuk, remarks from the Ontario Curling Council’s Ian Tetley on fostering development and certification projects, and a message of unity and CurlON’s leadership role on the national level from Curling Canada representative John Shea.
With some incoming changes to the CurlON Board of Directors, voting members were tasked with electing Robin Guy, Grant Allman, Ian Tetley and Dave Wilkes to 2 year terms of service while Jane Hooper-Perroud and Jonathan Giancroce were elected to 1 year terms. Elaine Brimicombe’s current status on the board remains unchanged.
Doug Kreviazuk will replace Rick Meraska as Chair of the Board and Ian Tetley will assume Vice-Chair duties. We thank them for their service to the Ontario Curling Association and welcome aboard our new members.
